About White Goods Verified

White Goods Verified exists because “best refrigerator” and “best washer” answers online are dominated by sites that have never touched the products they rank — or that rank whatever pays the highest affiliate rate. We are building the opposite: a small catalog of the appliances worth owning, scored against a published rubric, priced live from the dealer’s own listing, and honest about what we have and have not physically tested.

What we do differently

Published rubrics, per category. A dishwasher is not judged on a refrigerator’s axes. Every category’s criteria and weights are public on How we test — you can re-weight our sub-scores for your own priorities.

Live prices, not marketing prices. Every price on this site loads from the dealer’s own product listing at page view. When a sale ends, you see it end. When a listing dies, we show no price at all rather than a stale number — a price we cannot verify is a price we do not print.

Seed scores, labeled as such. Every score is currently a seed draft: derived from verified listing specs, published EnergyGuide data and aggregated owner ratings — never from manufacturer marketing. Units that complete our physical bench protocol get their seed replaced with measured results, and the entry says so.

Third-party proof on every profile. We embed verified manufacturer and independent review videos, and link written reviews with verbatim excerpts — including unflattering ones. Quoting is not endorsement; stripping negatives is how other sites stay pretty.

Who runs this

The site is published by a small editorial team with a home-appliance industry background. We disclose upfront: our parent company provides marketing services to appliance manufacturers, including brands that appear in our rankings. That is exactly why our rubric, weights, sources and correction policy are public — scrutiny is the product. Named reviewer bios and credentials are published here ahead of public launch.

What we cover

Every model tracked has a profile with live pricing; rankings re-sort as the market moves; guides cover the buying and care questions that surround the products.
